Description

Introducing Lovima contraception – providing reliable, long-term contraception with the convenience of a patch. Lovima provides up to 4 weeks of protection and is 98% effective in protecting against pregnancy. No daily pills required, just change your Lovima patch every week for safe, effective contraception.

Directions

For optimal effectiveness, it's important to follow the prescribed dosage and instructions provided by your healthcare professional when taking Lovima 75 microgram film-coated tablets. Typically, one tablet is taken daily for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free period. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water, preferably around the same time each day, to maintain a consistent hormone level in the body.

Ingredients

Each Lovima 75 microgram film-coated tablet contains two active ingredients: gestodene (a synthetic progestogen) and ethinylestradiol (a synthetic estrogen). These hormones work in combination to inhibit ovulation, alter cervical mucus consistency, and modify the uterine lining. Additionally, the tablet's non-active ingredients include lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone K-30, stearic acid, hypromellose, macrogol 6000, talc, and titanium dioxide.

Side Effects

As with any medication, Lovima 75 microgram film-coated tablets may cause side effects in some individuals. Common side effects include changes in menstrual bleeding patterns, headaches, breast tenderness, mood changes, and nausea. These side effects are generally mild and transient, often improving after the initial adjustment period.

In rare cases, more serious side effects such as blood clotting disorders, high blood pressure, and liver issues may occur. It's important to be aware of these potential effects and seek medical attention if you experience any unusual symptoms.

Warnings

Contraindications: If you have certain medical conditions or risk factors, such as a history of blood clots, certain cancers, or severe liver disease, Lovima 75 microgram film-coated tablets may not be suitable for you.

Interactions: Inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are taking, as some medications, such as certain antibiotics or antiepileptic drugs, may interact with Lovima.

Smoking: Smoking while taking combined hormonal contraceptives may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Lovima is not intended for use during pregnancy. If you become pregnant while taking Lovima, stop taking it and consult your healthcare provider. Additionally, Lovima is not recommended while breastfeeding, as it may affect milk production and composition.

They can provide personalized guidance and determine whether this contraceptive option is appropriate for you.
