Description

Canesten Thrush Duo is a convenient and comprehensive treatment for vaginal or penile thrush, containing an oral capsule and an external cream to address both internal and external symptoms. This product should only be used if you have been previously diagnosed with thrush by a doctor

Directions

Oral Capsule: Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.

External Cream:
Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and pressing.
Apply the cream thinly and evenly to the affected area around the entrance of the vagina or the end of the penis 2-3 times a day and smooth in gently.
Use the cream until symptoms disappear.
If symptoms persist after seven days, consult a doctor.

Ingredients

Oral Capsule Active Ingredient: Fluconazole 150 mg

Cream Active Ingredient: Clotrimazole 2% w/w

Other Ingredients (Capsule): Colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maize starch, sodium lauryl sulphate, brilliant blue FCF (E133), titanium dioxide (E171), gelatin, shellac, black iron oxide (E172), propylene glycol.

Other Ingredients (Cream): Benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, purified water.

Side Effects

Common Side Effects (Capsule): Headache, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash, increases in liver function tests.
Uncommon Side Effects (Capsule): Reductions in blood cells, decreased appetite, insomnia, dizziness, constipation, indigestion, muscle pain, itching, increased sweating.
Rare Side Effects (Capsule): Severe skin reactions, liver disorders, seizures, heart rhythm changes, hypersensitivity reactions.
Side Effects (Cream): Itching, rash, blisters, burning, discomfort, swelling, redness, irritation, peeling of the skin.

Warnings

Warnings:

Do not use if allergic to fluconazole, clotrimazole, or any other ingredients listed.
Consult a doctor before use if you have any of the following:
Irregular vaginal bleeding, abnormal discharge, ulcers, blisters, sores, lower abdominal pain, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or foul-smelling discharge.
If your sexual partner has no symptoms, if you have sores, ulcers, blisters, abnormal discharge, or pain on the penis.
If you are under 16 or over 60, have had more than two thrush infections in the last six months, have a history of sexually transmitted diseases, liver or kidney disease, heart problems, or any other chronic illness.
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting a doctor.
The cream may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives; use alternative precautions for at least five days after application.
Avoid swallowing the cream; if accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.
Store below 25°C and keep out of reach of children.
